The annual "Fandango at Peralta Adobe" takes place in the heart of San Pedro Square Market. This date commemorates the death of Luis Maria Peralta 162 years ago. Peralta was one of the first "alcalde," or mayors, of the Pueblo de San Jose de Guadalupe. A Californio, he lived in the Adobe with his family.
