San Pedro Square Market Live Music: Join SPSM and San Jose Jazz for a live performance with Twice As Good on Friday April 3rd, 2015 @ 7:00pm.
The Son & Father, Native American, Ultimate Blues Duo. Members of the Elem Indian Colony band of Pomo Indians, a reservation near Clearlake Oaks CA, father Rich taught Paul to play guitar when Paul was 14. Since then they have been spreading their award-winning brand of Blues and Soul music all over the world, releasing 7 albums, and constantly performing over 100 concert dates a year. They've received a West Coast Blues Hall of Fame Award, a Native American Music Award, an Indian Summer Festival Music Award, and been reviewed/written about in the San Francisco Chronicle, News From Native California Magazine, and Living Blues Magazine.
The name "Twice As Good" isn't a claim of status. To Paul & Rich it is a dedication to hard work and quality of craft. About believing in one's self, not being shy, and having the courage to try something as hard as becoming a successful professional musician. They were once told, "You can't make it in the music business, you got to be twice as good". So they replied, "Well all right then. We will be, Twice As Good".
