Paul was born in Brooklyn but spent most of his youth in Rockland County, New York, moving to Palo Alto, California in his teens. His musical influences include Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Southside Johnny, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, 60's Stax and Motown groups. His guitar influences are Eric Clapton, Mike Campbell, Joe Bonamassa, Chuck Berry, James Burton and Pete Townshend.

Paul plays a custom Scott Lentz Telecaster, Fender Telecasters and occasionally a Gibson Les Paul guitar through Fender Bassman and VOX AC30 amps.

"Rock & Soul music is very important to a lot of people. Of course it's entertainment and is fun, but the personal connection that people have to timeless songs is very intense - that's what makes it timeless! Much of the fun in what we do is seeing people singing along, pumping their fists, or just smiling from ear to ear when we launch into a song that has that personal connection for them, or evokes a great memory - whether it was last week, last summer, or years ago. The magic moments are when a whole audience connects to a song and you can tell we're all connecting to a special time in our lives."

That is the mission of vocal story-teller, Nate Pruitt, and guitarist, Rick Vandivier.

They magically combine southern soul and classic jazz styles with the grooves and blues – performing their originals and favorites from Jimmie Davis and Nat King Cole to Al Green and Marvin Gaye. Their treatments are so unique that you feel you are hearing even classic songs for the first time. While they impress hard-core jazz lovers, they tap into the souls of anyone who loves the great vibes and surprises that come with every jam session.

Lisa Lindsey: Thursday, June 21st @ 6:00pm

She has been called a glass of champagne, cool, refreshing, and a little bubbly.

Lisa Lindsley may be a latecomer to singing jazz, but the wealth of creative experience she brings to American Songbook gems turns familiar tunes into bracingly contemporary tales. She made an impressive debut with Everytime We Say Goodbye; her 2016 release, Long After Midnight, charted for three weeks on the U.S. FMQB Top 40, and remained in the Top 5 slot for 7 weeks on the CMJ Jazz charts.  And now Wouldn't It Be Loverly sits at #27 on the FMQB charts! Let's make it climb.

“A truly sultry singer who captures the evening mood with gusto, Lisa Lindsley casts a musical spell on Long After Midnight, voicing beautiful love songs from the city for lovers, for the lover in all of us.”

We love the blues, and we try to keep it authentic and solid. If you like your blues straight-ahead, with maybe a dash of jazz, and you like the classic Hammond B3 and vintage guitar tones...we think you'll dig what we do.

The Funtouchables: Sunday, June 24th @ 2:00pm
