San Pedro Square Market Live Music: Week of May 15th

San Pedro Square Market Live Music: Join SPSM for live performances in Downtown San Jose the week of May 15th, 2016 featuring Mitchell Lujan, Hootenanny!, The Refugees, Cocktail Monkeys, and Wil Roberts.

Mitchell Lujan: Thursday, May 19th @ 7pm

Growing up in the Silicon Valley, Mitchell Lujan bounced around many different environments but a creative mindset always remained consistent. Mitchell finds himself rooted in Rhythm & Blues but later found a love for alternative rock music after picking up the guitar. Altogether, Lujan's sound can be described as soulful, big, yet intimate with similarities to artists like John Legend, JP Cooper, John Mayer, & Allen Stone. With a handful of plans for the future, Mitchell's upcoming EP, Subject to Change is available now on iTunes and Spotify.

Hootenanny!: Friday, May 20th @ 7pm

Armed with only acoustic instruments, Hootenanny! sings and strums your favorite Rock/Pop gems and other musical curiosities.

The Refugees (Tom Petty Tribute Band) @ 8-11pm @ the Market Plaza Stage

The Refugees have been entertaining Bay Area crowds since 2007, bringing the music of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers to local stages with a stunning level of realism. Voted the top tribute band in the S.F. Bay Area in 2009, their extensive song catalog includes all of Petty's hits with the Heartbreakers as well as his solo work and other side projects like The Traveling Wilburys and Mudcrutch.

Recreating all the signature guitar solos and rich vocal harmonies down to the smallest detail, The Refugees can make even die-hard Petty fans feel like they are at another Tom Petty concert.

Cocktail Monkeys @ 7-10pm @ the Market Garage Patio Stage

The Cocktail Monkeys bring you more than exciting music and perfect vocal harmony; they bring fun, camaraderie and professionalism to each show. With an alluring and powerful stage presence, from the first song, Renee and the guys lead you through a fantasy evening covering your favorite songs by your favorite bands. From note one, you realize you are among the Bay Area’s top notch musicians. Renee kicks out killer vocals, Mark St. John plays a screaming guitar, John Perkins tickles the keys, Bobby Asea sets the beat on bass, while Will Diamond keeps it rock steady on the drums. All of this with the drive and passion you will come to see as the heart of the Cocktail Monkeys.

Wil Roberts: Sunday May 22nd @ 1pm

Wil creates an atmosphere of musical excellence where ever he performs his mix of R&B, coffee house, and adult contemporary pop.  His beautiful voice and relaxed style on guitar or keyboard set him apart from other entertainers and make him a favorite at intimate events.
