Summit 2V1 (pronounced "two-five-one") is a five-piece jazz/funk band from the San Francisco Bay area.  Founded in 2004 with the goal of keeping jazz/funk fusion alive, the group has created an entrancing style all its own.  A solid, groove-based rhythmic foundation layered with higher harmonic function, melodic form, and searing solos combine to produce a musical essence that is truly greater than the sum of its parts.  The band is comprised of five seasoned musicians with  more than 70 years of combined experience.
